Media Statement

Melbourne-headquartered medical technology company Seer has joined a select group of Australia’s most innovative and fastest-growing technology businesses, after placing eighth as part of this year’s Deloitte Technology Fast 50.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 recognises public and private technology companies for fast growth based on an assessment of their percentage revenue growth over the past three years.

Seer was also ranked fourth among the contenders for the Technology Female Leadership award which recognises companies that were founded or co-founded by a female(s).

“Seer was founded to empower people to take greater control of their health,” Seer CEO Dr Dean Freestone says.

“Through improving access to fundamental diagnostic services, Seer has become Australia’s largest provider of epilepsy diagnostic services – growing by 734% in its first 3 financial years.”

At the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Awards event on 26 November 2020, Seer was honoured among other fast-growing technology companies that included Half Dome, My Plan Manager and AutoGuru.

“It was a privilege to join with other leading entrepreneurs at the Fast 50 Awards this year. So many of us are focused on harnessing technology to solve problems of immense scale.”

Freestone thanked the Seer team for their contribution to the company’s growth.

“Our clinicians, software engineers and researchers are amazing thinkers that are united in their desire to improve access to gold-standard healthcare.”

“I look forward to working with them as we extend our international impact in 2021 and beyond, and thank Deloitte for their support for Australian technology companies.”
