Why do we need seizure forecasting?

To begin with, a third of people don't get adequate control of seizures through medication. Not knowing when a seizure will strike can impact a person's confidence — the unpredictability can be crippling.

A study by the Epilepsy Foundation of America found that more than anything else, the majority of participants wanted a device that could forecast seizure likelihood.

By knowing when a person is likely to have a seizure and, just as importantly, when they are most likely not to, those living with epilepsy can manage their days without the fear and uncertainty of unpredictable seizures.
